Read the passage and choose the correct answer.
Jay Portman talks about his hobby, which is running in hilly places, and why he likes it.
1. Hill running means running up and down hills and mountains, in the countryside. My friends don't do it, but I do, and I enjoy it. My dad took me and my brothers running when we were little. When I was fifteen, I joined a club called the York Merlins.
2 .Some club members are very good runners. They are faster than me during practice, but that's okay. They are friendly and give me tips. What I love is being outside and finding beautiful places.
3. On weekends, we have races against other clubs. They tell us where to finish, but not the way to get there. You need a map and a compass so you don't get lost. We start together, but later, we often run alone.
4. Anyone can join these races. You pay a little money and start running in the morning. There are no T-shirts or medals for the winners. The most you get is a piece of cake! Sometimes, famous hill runners run, but they are nice too.
5. It's not an easy sport. Last weekend, it rained hard, and it was very windy. I wondered why I was there. But I finished, and it felt great.
